Teacher Training.  Saturdays and Sundays,  (Monthly, $150 for one, $250 for both)
This class is for any Simply Circus Instructor that would like to learn to teach new skills, update existing teaching skills, brush up teaching/spotting methodologies, or would otherwise like additional instructor supervision.  Saturday sessions focus on the teaching of manipulation and equilibristic skills, while the Sunday sessions focus on teaching of aerial skills.  Note: Instructor approval required.

Gen Circus Arts Saturdays, 10:30-12:00. (Monthly, $150)
This class is for students ages 7-11 and 12-18, and focuses on learning manipulation and equilibristic skills.  Juggling is always a big part of this class, but students will learn a wide variety of circus arts.  This class is ideal for the student that isn’t sure what to take, and wants to try them all.

Power Tumbling.  Saturdays, 12:30-2:00. (Monthly, $150)
Learn to get the most out of your tumbling!  Learn where you typically loose power in your tumbling, and how to stop loosing that power.  Prereq: At a minimum, students need to have a good cartwheel, roundoff, dive roll, and a front or back walkover.  Standard uniform requirements apply to this class.

Intermediate Aerials.  Saturdays and Sundays, 2:00-3:30pm (Monthly, $300)
For students that have progressed through our beginning curriculum, have demonstrated consistently clean skills, and are ready to begin taking what they do further.  This class begins with an aerial conditioning session.  Sessions include working on learning and perfecting new aerial skills, creating acts, filtering acts, and much more.    Students MUST attend two classes a week. Standard uniform requirements apply to this class. Note: Instructor approval required.  

Adult Aerials. Sundays, 10:30-12:00 (Monthly, $150)
Adults have unique needs when it comes to learning aerials, and this class lets adults move at their own pace.  Every class starts with a conditioning session. 

Beginning Aerials. Sundays, 12:30-2:00 (Monthly, $150)
This class introduces students to the art of Aerial Fabrics. Students will focus on developing flexibility, strength, control, and body awareness, as well as a basic vocabulary of the aerial skills. New students should expect moderate discomfort on the hands and ankles as well as on the backs of the knees as they become accustomed to the apparatus. Standard uniform requirements apply to this class.

Young Adult General Circus (for ages 16 – 29). Sundays, 2:00-3:30 (Monthly, $150)
This class is for students ages 16-29.  This class allows young adults to learn a variety of manipulation, equilibristic, tumbling and aerial skills. This class will work on both group and individual skills. Standard uniform requirements apply to this class.

Classes at Steven's Personal Studio in Newton

Intermediate Tumbling. Monday Evenings, 6:30 – 8:00.  (Monthly, $150)
This class is for students who have learned at least basic tumbling skills (cartwheels, round-offs and walkovers at a minimum), and want to progress to working on power tumbling.  Power Tumbling is the process of learning to get the most power possible out of your tumbling, and we do it without a run. Standard uniform requirements apply to this class.

Intermediate Aerial Arts. Tuesday Evenings, 6:30pm – 8:00pm. (Monthly, $150)
This class is a workout and practice session for those students working on developing intermediate level acts.  Standard uniform requirements apply to this class. Note: Instructor approval required.   

Contortion. Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00pm (Monthly, $150)
This class focuses on teaching adult students the fundamentals of contortion. Note: this class teaches extreme flexibility. Instructor approval is required.  This class also has special uniform requirements.

Adult Aerials Practice. Thursday Evenings, 7:30-9:00pm (Monthly, $150)
More informal than most of our other classes, this class provides adults aerial students an additional practice and workout session.

Classes offered through the Striar JCC in Stoughton:

BEGINNING SILKS I, SCCCS201F8  
Grades 3+ (Prereq. Intro to Aerial Silks)  
This class is for students who have learned to do a basic climb, perform the frog wrap, have a few single and double foot tie in skills and are ready to start going further. Students in this class will begin to progress into more difficult static poses, as well as starting to learn dynamic skills, including basic dives, drops, rolls. Please note that students are required to wear an appropriate leotard for this class. Steve Santos  
Wednesdays, 5-6pm.  8 Week Class: 9/17-12/10. No class 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 &11/26
